BPSC Teacher Recruitment 2023: Vacancy Details

BPSC aims to fill up a total of 1,70,461 posts via this recruitment process released. This total reported Vacancies include primary, upper primary, and secondary school teachers. A primary teacher is given the responsibility of students from Class 1 to Class 5, having 79,943 vacant posts.

A secondary teacher, or TGT teacher is given the responsibility of students from Class 9 to Class 10, having 32,916 Posts. A senior secondary school teacher or a PGT Teacher is given the responsibility of students in Class 11 and 12 having a total vacant post of 57,602 Posts.

Age Limit

The minimum age required for a candidate to be eligible to apply for this given position of a primary teacher is set at 18 years currently. However, the minimum required for a candidate to apply for TGT or PGT teacher is 21 years. For the male candidates, the maximum age limit is set at 37 years.

However, female candidates are allowed to apply till 40 years of age. Relaxations are available on the upper age limit of the candidates as per the existing rules and norms set by the Government of India.

Important Dates

The application forms fill-up dates have been started. On 15 June 2023, the commencement of online application began. However, interested candidates must apply for BPSC Teachers’ Recruitment before 17 July 2023.

Educational Qualification

To attain eligibility for the position of a Primary Teacher, the candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks along with a B.Ed. degree.

Moreover, candidates who wish to apply for the position of TGT or PGT must possess a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in the specified disciplines along with a B.Ed degree.

Application Fee

The cost of the application form is Rs 750 for candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories. However, the candidates belonging to SC, ST, Physically Challenged, and female candidates are required to pay Rs. 200/- as the application fee at the time of filling up the application form. The application fee should be paid in online mode only.
